STILES: Ford Conservatives vote to keep students in crushing debt

QUEEN’S PARK — Marit Stiles, Leader of the Official Opposition NDP forced a vote to reverse Doug Ford’s OSAP cuts:

“We gave Doug Ford a chance to do the right thing,” said Stiles. “Instead, the Premier made a deliberate choice to hand our province's next generation a lifetime debt sentence.

“For eight years, Ford has made devastating cuts to Ontario’s post-secondary education system. Doug Ford’s failures are costing families and the next generation. It is shameful.

“Under Ford’s watch, Ontario’s young people are stuck in a vicious cycle: sky high rents, fewer opportunities, and more debt. They simply cannot get ahead. Today, once again, Doug Ford chose to keep. The fight does not end here; we will use every tool in our toolbox to fight these cuts.”
